We rely on a team of professionals to help keep our horses healthy & happy.
GETTING YOUR HORSE SET UP

All private horses (leased or owned) are required to have their own equipment and feeding plan. We are happy to help you order or get set up!
Start with the following:

Feed & Supplements
Each horse is kept on a custom-tailored feed program to meet their individual needs. Hay is included in our board, and we offer alfalfa hay and grass hay. Additional grain or other feed can be fed as provided by the owner, or as ordered through SS Equestrian for the cost of the grain.
We recommend that all show horses be kept on a daily supplement plan, supplied by SmartPak Equine.

Shoeing
All horses are kept on a shoeing schedule by our farrier,
Audel Mendoza, (323) 819-8291.
Veterinary Care
All horses are dewormed and vaccinated spring and fall by our vet,
Dr. Susan Bauer, (626) 473-9146.
We work with an excellent horse chiropractor for needed adjustments and maintenance, as well as our secondary vet,
Dr. James Travers, (805) 963-9292.
In cases where further medical treatment is needed, we use
Dr. Mark Rick at Alamo Pintado Equine Hospital, (805) 688-6510.
We keep an up-to-date file on each horse in the barn and need current vet and vaccine records when a new horse comes into the barn.
Transportation
All local horse trailering is provided by
Haulin' Hooves, (805) 657-0237.

Insurance
We highly recommend that you insure your horse for mortality and medical, if its value is over $10,000 and it is under the age of 14. We recommend LEG Insurance Solutions, (866) 780-3713
